(pulled from my January 2011 archive, still fabulous this trip)
Our favorite place to eat on Anguilla is Straw Hat.
It sits smack dab on a spectacular beach framed at both ends by towering cliffs.
The restaurant is casual, friendly, and lively and the menu is so chock full of delicious local dishes that you have to come back for more.
The first time, we both tried the grilled snapper sandwich with crispy ribbons of fries and lots of secret sauce, and we grinned at each other with delight because we had finally found the local cuisine we had been dreaming of.
The beach was a wondrous theatrical backdrop with giant waves rolling in off the Atlantic that crashed and boomed and sent spray 12′ into the air.
Entertainment and good food!
